About Us
The Volunteer Center is a secular, non-political organization dedicated to encouraging the broader community to join together to identify issues and work together toward (better) solutions. We aim to serve as the connection between local organizations looking for volunteers and motivated individuals with the time, energy and expertise to support community projects.
Our vision is to remind us all to embrace and expand a sense of community with the understanding that community is not a place on the map.
It's how we treat one another - how we respect, value, validate, and empower each person to engage and be their best.
“Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Only a life lived for others is worth living.”
— Albert Einstein
